Coalition

Supporting Physician Learning and Practice Improvement

This Coalition of eight national medical organizations was formed in 2019 to advance the recommendations contained in the Future of Medical Education in Canada (FMEC) CPD report, published in April 2019. The report is entitled “Supporting Learning and Continuous Practice Improvement for Physicians in Canada: A New Way Forward”. The Coalition is led by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and supported by a Program Coordinator.

Our Goal

To develop key initiatives that will create a national physician learning and practice improvement system. This system will be responsive to patient and community needs and will achieve meaningful improvements in practice and patient outcomes.

To achieve this goal, we will leverage existing CPD provider expertise, leadership, and resources in our partner organizations. We will work together to advance the kinds of projects that can best be achieved when we collaborate across organizations.
